The Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Office held a specialized workshop on Thursday, 12/2/2026, attended by a representative of the Insurance Diwan and reporting officers from insurance companies. The workshop was organized within the framework of enhancing feedback channels between the Office and reporting entities, contributing to improving the quality of suspicious transaction reports and submissions through the (goAML) system.
The Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Office held a specialized workshop on Thursday, 12/2/2026, attended by a representative of the Insurance Diwan and reporting officers from insurance companies. The workshop was organized within the framework of enhancing feedback channels between the Office and reporting entities, contributing to improving the quality of suspicious transaction reports and submissions through the (goAML) system.
This workshop was conducted in implementation of the Office’s action plan and the recommendations derived from the impact assessment results of the analytical study on improving the quality of reports received from obligated reporting entities. The workshop included discussions on several practical scenarios related to submitting reports and notifications, in addition to reviewing the main technical challenges and obstacles faced by insurance companies during data entry and report submission. It also addressed the analysis of common errors that may affect the quality of information and ways to mitigate them.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of adhering to the guideline issued by the Office concerning the reporting of suspicious transactions, in order to enhance reporting efficiency and strengthen the effectiveness of the reporting system.
At the conclusion of the workshop, it was stressed that the quality of reports and notifications must be aligned with the international standards issued by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), in a manner that enhances compliance and reinforces efforts to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
